Ron Huxley, LMFT
Ron is an expert family therapist with over two decades of experience in cutting-edge research on trauma, adoption and sensory-based therapies. He is a national trainer on adoption and permanency skills for social workers, therapists, policymakers and faith-based organizations. He has been a director of community-based mental health and post-adoption mental health clinics for children and families, and regularly appears on international talk shows and in news media on trauma and inner healing. Ron is the author of the books: “Love and Limits: Achieving a Balance in Parenting” “101 Parenting Tools: Building the Family of Your Dreams” and “More Abundant Living: Simple Steps to a Happy Life.”
Ron has certifications in various clinical evidence-based and promising practices: EMDR, Incredible Years, Family Wellness, Love & Logic, Systematic Training for Effective Parenting, TheraPlay, Love After Marriage, and Developmental Dyadic Psychotherapy (attachment-focused family therapy). His areas of expertise include attachment, adoption/permanency, trauma-informed care, parenting, and nontraditional family therapies.
Ron has presented at local, state and national events, including the Georgetown University Systems of Care Conference and the San Diego Children’s System of Care Conference.
