"Some adoption experts say they've seen an increase in same-sex couples looking to adopt children from foster care since the U.S. Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriages last summer. The increase is in part because same-sex couples can now meet any legal or policy requirements that parents be married, says Adam Pertman, CEO of the nonprofit National Center on Adoption and Permanency."
