For 20 years, The Donaldson Adoption Institute was a leader in research on the adoption and foster care communities. We are proud to introduce an important addition to our groundbreaking work, The Modern Adoptive Families Study.
We believe this large and unique dataset provides many opportunities for researchers to explore interesting and relevant empirical questions related to the adjustment and well-being of adopted children and their parents, and to better understand the emerging complexity of the modern adoptive family. We envision that the data derived from this project will have important policy and practice implications, and we plan to explore these issues in subsequent publications on the DAI website.
